eBay and the Virginia Tech shooter.

A little known fact about the Virginia Tech shooter is that he bought a lot of gun related items from eBay.

Little known mainly because eBay completely wiped his account within a day of the shootings. Removed it from the database entirely.

I briefly viewed his feedback before the account was removed, and while he didn't buy the gun on eBay, just about everything else came from the site.

  1. Are you suggesting that eBay is somehow complicit in the shootings? This is a pretty ridiculous statement

  5. "An individual is complicit in a crime if he/she is aware of its occurrence and has the ability to report the crime, but fails to do so. As such the individual effectively allows criminals to carry out a crime despite possibly being able to stop them, either directly or by contacting the authorities, thus making the individual a de-facto accessory to the crime rather than an innocent bystander." ~ Wiki

  6. That would mean that Ebay knew this person was going to shoot someone or themselves just because they bought a gun.

No, what Ebay did is to quickly try to remove themselves from the whole situation before it made them look bad and have any kind of implications brought upon themselves, basically removing themselves from any responsibilities.

  7. Ebay removed his info so that the feds would not get into ebays system or bring executives into question. It's that easy to understand. If you don't understand then you really need to go learn more about history.
